Hall of Famer Bill Dudley (1921–2010) was an undersized tailback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, and Washington Redskins who could run, pass, catch, punt, kick, and play defense—and was the NFL MVP in 1946. Dudley led the league in rushing as a rookie in 1942 and again in 1946, when he returned from three years in the military. That MVP year he led the league in interceptions and punt returns as well.
