She chronicles the dramatic events from the arrival of Moses and Aaron before Pharaoh through the Israelites' escape through the Red Sea. Because it concentrates on one section of Moses's life, it will be more accessible to young readers than sweeping sagas such as Miriam Chaikin's Exodus (1987) or Leonard Everett Fisher's Moses (1995, both Holiday).
