Gr 3-Up A thought-provoking, eloquent poem and brilliant art combine to bring the abstract concept of war to a personal, immediate level. Readers are exhorted to picture frogs beside a pond, a donkey with a boy holding its rope bridle, a woman suckling and singing to her baby, and then to imagine how the tires of a camouflaged vehicle, bombs dropping from the sky, and an advancing army will destroy these peaceful scenes.
