Gr 5-8 Hilton covers Jefferson's life from birth to the age of 19. She also includes a brief summary of his life and achievements after that time, a discussion of "Whatever Happened to" some of the people and places mentioned in the book and a chronology of Jefferson's adult life. Hilton's writing flows smoothly; her book, however, is difficult to classify.
