Gr 5-8 Visually inviting, this book has well-spaced type and an abundance of full-color illustrations. The "Mini-Facts at a Glance" section provides quick access to key information. The attractive visuals do not, however, provide totally effective illustration. The maps are so filled with print that it is difficult to locate some features mentioned; others are not labeled.
