Gr 2-4 Although lovely to look at, this book is a sore disappointment. A brief introductory passage outlines hibernation, but other than some snowy illustrations, little of this work justifies its title. Rather than hibernation, this is in fact about the life and habits of European animals, including snails and butterflies, who in some Northern areas enter a dormant state during the winter months.
