A Jewish family of five from Long Island, NY, adopted an older Chinese child in 2008. Narrated primarily by adoptive mom Donna Sadowsky, this film is a no-holds-barred approach to foreign adoption, showing the process and its conditions, the language barriers, culture shock, and inherent familial acclimation.
