Gr 3-6 In this oddly appealing picaresque adventure, heavily influenced by 19th-Century conventions, Sophie, a good, pure child, is confined to bed by a serious illness, and knows nothing of life. One night she's awakened by the bustle of her many toys gathering in front of a small theater.
