Gr 3-5 "Amazing" describes the breadth of information in these two activity books. Although each title promises "two dozen fun projects for home or school," the fascinating texts and the factual information they impart are equally as valuable as the projects described. However, the dirt book has only 18 projects. It begins with personal dirt and its removal throughout the ages and goes on to cover household dirt and edible dirt. The chapter on burial includes archaeology, paleontology, buried treasure, and animals that bury themselves to hibernate.
