It's amazing what can be found in our own backyards. Of course, some of us are luckier than others, as when a family of roadrunners takes up residence in the author's backyard in New Mexico. Well-observed sketches and well-integrated color photographs accompany Dewey's story of the birds she names Edith, Hamlet, and Paisano.
