Gr 2-5 Following inevitably in the wake of Tomie dePaola's Favorite Nursery Tales (1986) and Tomie dePaola's Mother Goose (1985, both Putnam), this anthology is sure to be just as popular, combining as it does dePaola's hieratic, instantly-recognizable figures with a moderately wide-ranging selection of brief, simple verse.
