Gr 6-9 "French and Indian War" describes the events that led to the conflict and the decade-long war that pitted dubious European-Indian alliances against once another and ended with the surrender of the French and the Treaty of Paris in 1763. Pedersen follows with the story of Pontiac's unsuccessful rebellion against the British after the war. This volume has handsome illustrations but provides less background information than Christopher Collier and James Lincoln Collier's "The French and Indian War" (Marshall Cavendish, 1997).
