D'Souza came to the United States from India when he was 17 years old and graduated after some years as a Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College. Soon his articles and books began to appear, and he emerged as a highly articulate champion of American values, mostly writing conservative critiques of liberal beliefs and attitudes. He worked in the Reagan White House and is now a Rishwain Fellow at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution, and Peace at Stanford University.
