Gr 2-5 In this weak, hopelessly romantic narrative, a nomadic tribeswoman with no milk for her infant son resorts to a tame gazelle to serve as his wet nurse. The bond between beast and baby grows so strong that when the irresistible call of the wild lures the gazelle away from the village, the boy toddles along with her.
